Hello Oppo! Just a note from your friendly neighborhood Gamecat. For the last year I have been writing about music over on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . I started this series last Halloween, and with today’s KMFDM post I reached post number 150. I talk about a wide range of music, and rarely let myself get too carried away by one genre or artist (though you will see an excessive bias toward all things Trent Reznor, Toni Halliday, and more than a bit of shoegaze and industrial music).

Now that I’ve pretty well established the series, I may start sharing them outside of backtalk when they are published.

I started this series as an excuse to talk about music that I love, and embraced the backtalk community as one which was welcoming of serialized posts, and with a small, tightknit, group of commenters coming from all corners of Kinja (gawker, odeck, GT, lifehacker, and more) it felt enough like home for me to settle in and post them there, backtalk is a very supportive and constructive group, and with a small group of active authors comes a very manageable flow of content. Often you can find posts dating back one or two days on the first page.

In any case, if you feel like reading my ramblings on music, largely from the past, but occasionally reaching the present, read away!

I first heard that song thanks to the Mortal Kombat soundtrack that the 14 year old me had to have. Presently, WWIII is on regular rotation in my spotify.

Totally unrelated, but my wife actually walked down the aisle to the techno-ized Theme From Mortal Kombat (her choice).
